Everything and everyone seems to be a 'racist'. I think we are wearing the word out.
I recently was reading an article about the word "terrorist" and "terrorism". The article made a case that the word "terrorist" has been so over-used that it has become meaningless in the world of communication and writings. |

Through intensive staff trainings, frequent staff meetings, classroom observations and other initiatives, the premise is that if educators can understand their own “white privilege,” then they can change their teaching practices to boost minority students’ performance. |

I'm guessing by that principal's standards, even the black and white cookie is verboten, since kids from somalia or blatherbotia may not have cookies.
And she'd probably condemn me for my use of "verboten," which must mean I'm a Nazi sympathizer. Or you could come to California, where a kid's lunch brought from home must be analyzed by the school and supplemented with such healthy things as Ritz crackers. And then be billed for it by the school. I'm not sure where they stand on sandwiches, though. ![]() |

I wonder when oreo cookies will feel the lash? They sell well up here in Canada. Things can become somewhat insane with little effort it seems.
Calling a peanut butter and jam sandwich racist is way, way over the top. To just call that a stretch either does not do it justice. Our family must be really infected with racisim as we always have peanut and jam sandwiches made on white bread. Although we consume 75 percent or more of non white bread in our diet normally. Although since we seldom consume peanut butter and jam sandwiches perhaps we are only a little racist. The next time I have one I will see if I feel racism in the bites. What really blows me away is the concept of general common food items having racist overtones as a concept even. Last edited by barry12345; 11-22-2013 at 12:35 PM. |

I thought that stereotype was off the shelves until I noticed a somewhat modernized version label still there some time ago. It is true racisim excluded that it has been a stereotype for pancake syrup for years and years.
