I believe many many knowledgable posters stop posting as much in the non OD after BC was dumped. PP has gotten worse with his loss.

Thread topic was probably not the best choice, but I really didn't give it much thought when posting in disgust....
I am a guy who came to MercedesShopForum to glean technical and mechanical information about my fine, albeit aged vehicle. I have been on the receiving end of a considerable amount of assistance from BC.
People like him are the reason this site is a success, IMHO. Diesel Discussion (afaik) is the most populated board on this site, and is quite likely the number one reason for it's continued existence.
Permanently banning someone who has made such enormous contributions is about as close to cutting off your nose to spite your face as I think I have ever seen, second to the initial removal of him as DD moderator.
The amount of farcical information there now, has changed the timbre of the board from comprehensive and authoritative to questionable and opinionated.
This change caused many of the hard-core and truly knowledgeable people to leave. Now the banning may well prove to hemorrhage even more of the people of knowledge and experience. It is a sad day when I lose a fantastic and free source of information and camaraderie. And, yes... it's really all about me... and my needs....
