My view is its pretty easy to not be banned. You really have to consistently make an effort to get on the moderation shlt list.

Even when on the shlt list, you get dozens of chances to shape up. Moderators here are decent knowledgable people, and I have no complaints about their thankless job.

You have to really want to be banned to make it happen.
