Who needs a truck?!?

I should sell my truck, and get a Panamera!

Hatty - perfect for you! Just get a Panamera, and you can haul materials during the day, and at night, take it clubbing!

Even better! A 911 Turbo with PCCBs should be able to tow a 'dozer or backhoe if it can tow a caravan!

TSOR says that the Panamera rated at 2200 kg (4850 lb) tow capacity. Remember that before the idiotic SUV craze, people used to tow with garden-variety sedans and that was fine.

I can't imagine the carnage those trailers are doing to that super expensive PDK.

FYI wide tires like that are job site nail magnets.

...you know, that actually would make sense for you. Forget the H2 and get that instead .

A trailer not overloaded to the point of making things unsafe behind a car does a lot for me. I could use a truck but not enough now to justify the total cost of owning one. Insurance and increased registration fees plus the added fuel costs mind the cost and depreciation of a solid truck itself no longer make sense for me. I can rent one cheaper for the more and more infrequent time I need one.

Here's another one -- the Buick Roadmaster with tow package can tow 5000#. It also seats eight and fits a 4x8 in the back... all while cruising effortlessly and looking classy. I want one of those cars someday.

Around Europe this is seen as normal - sedans pulling stuff, Ive seen a W124 E300D pull another one on a flatbed trailer. That was a bit stretching it too thin IMO.

Load weight > tow vehicle weight...... yeah, that'd be stretching it.

Never made it to third gear on the ~ 7 mile ride home with that mess of concrete blocks. There may have been a slight weight miscalculation on my part when I said "sure - no problem!! I can tow a pallet full of cinder blocks home with my Miata!!!"

I'm thinking the panamerica shares drivetrain with the Cayanne (is that the SUV?)
