Porche Carrera Gt was known to be a dangerous car.

The details are expressed early on.

Not a car for the faint of heart or the limp of wrist. Guess what? It's a b@lls to the wall SPORTS CAR, not a damn moooommmyvan.

If you want a safe car, get a fawqing Camry not a sports car. At least he died having fun, not pissing and crapping all over himself in a nursing home.

Shame that lawyers and regulatory pieces of canine excrement want to sanitize and stability-control this kind of thing out of existence.

Meh. According to Wikipedia:

Quote:
the car can accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds and 0-100 mph in 6.8 seconds.
I can have plenty of fun in a Boxster that can only do 0-60 is slightly less than 6 seconds. The craving for uber torque - adrenaline rush action is loopy IMO. I've seen too many videos of fools wiping out their Cobra or Viper cuzzin they couldn't handle all the torque to be attracted to that sort of liability.

I'm really not crazy about the mid engine setup though. It's perfect for the ultimate high end racing vehicles but for street use it's not practical IMO. The rear engine configuration of the other Carrera, the 911 is more practical. More room in the cabin and you can keep the fuel further away from the engine.

The Reports coming in say they had just left the event soon to return ,event patrons even heard the crash which was some 200 yrds away ,the driver was still going through the gears at this point ,may have been a missed gear , Uneven street surface ,who knows.Somekind of state report will be coming out soon enough..
On another note to the James Dean crash ,a recreation of the accident was done digitally to view how the accident happened ,from both drivers view and from several different angles ,of coarse in his case he had the wheel giving him a chance to escape certain death in that LIL BASTARD.

Wow, thanks for giving us that Hobson's choice there.

You are a prince among men.

Yeah, that is a pretty stark pair of choices.

Its not a dangerous car, just a car where the driver can run out of talent quickly.

When fast cars are outlawed only outlaws will have fast cars.

seriously in a car like that you have to be a fool to drive it anywhere near its potential on the street.

It goes with the territory. Even great racers crash. Everyone pays the price of admission. Some just pay a little more.

Almost sounds like one definition for a dangerous car.

Yeah, and that particular pea-brained idea of fun now precluded any other sorts of fun for those two guys anyway. Some danger makes a lot more sense than others, in terms of thrill seeking.

When I was younger I was wise enough to tell myself all sports I did would be 3 mistake sports; you had to make three mistakes before you die. RIP.
