What's the best car restoration thread you know?

I find these kind of threads immensely satisfying to read. Here is one of the best I have seen so far:

OMG its happening -- the 280TE gets painted - Mercedes-Benz Forum

What's the best one you've come across?

Smile Like your thread, but...

Didn't realize that beer was a necessary ingredient of the sanding and preparation process.

Citroën id 19 P de 1966

You need to check the archives around 2006-08 when Jerome was going at it hammer and tongs. Made me sick watching my own DS sit and do nothing but get worse.

Father and son Ferrari Dino restoration. Holy crap are they thorough in the process and the documentation. Gorgeous, show winning product. Guy obviously had big bucks to do everything right, but did it mostly himself. Builds his Tony Stark mansion after the build is completed too.

You have to join ferrarichat to see the photos, free like this site.

Well, I don't get around the block much, but Stretch's 190E thread is fun partly because he has a funny style . Squiggledog has a fun one going on his 300SD, and Vintage Mercedes has a "weekend wrenching" tread that basically serves as a restoration thread for several different members at once. It's really cool.

Rgds,

Not just any 6.9. A 1976, very early, euro version, formerly owned my yours truly. I wish I had the means to do exactly what he is doing, and thrilled to be able to follow it.
