Yelp reviews help out a lot when deciding on which non chain based placed to go to.

The more I read Yelp reviews, the more I'm convinced that having professionals write reviews . . . and pretty much anything of expertise, is preferable.

What they can tell you is whether THEY like it or not. They cannot say for sure if YOU will like it or it sucks.

So far I haven't been steered wrong by yelp once yet. I think its a great resource for on the road eating. Went to CA recently and yelped across the state, eating fabulously at places I never would have considered without reading other peoples reviews. The one time I was screwed was asking a local to recommend a place, and it was edible, but just barely, and the ambiance was awful.

I only ask if the food I get tastes good enough to justify what I paid. I don't expect to get a $50 steak for the price of a McChicken or vice versa. So, for a $20 steak, it has to be so good and if I pay $10, I expect less, etc, etc. I don't care if it is processed or not processed. Do what you want but make it taste good in a blind taste test and I am good. Since I am not a food snob or a foodie, it is only taste for the price. You can serve me a processed meal or non processed but if I don't like it, it doesn't matter to me how you made it. If I want to control how it is prepared, I'll eat at home.

Depends on your taste. All Yelp does is tell you what someone thought of it. I am very finicky when it comes to taste and quite often, someone says it tastes good but I don't like it or vice versa. That kinda makes reviews a crap shoot. All they can tell me is it is clean or not. Taste is subjective

Ehhh I have seen some good yelp reviews for a place that was in a warzone and I wouldn't eat at without a gun.

Its hit and miss any idiot can put up anything they want.

As for Toby Keith its his property so I don't really care. He owns it so he is free to set the rules.

Secondly if he serves alcohol their in a lot of states your not allowed to carry so its a mute point in some areas.

IMHO the carry guys push it to far sometimes. We don't live in a dangerous country so you don't need your 1911 to grab a burger and a beer, sorry. Its not an area of gun rights that I feel should be pushed as hard as it is. But than again I'm not a part of the Nuthin Fancy/Sheep dog/the world is dangerous circle. I'm in the firearms are tools circle, and like any tool sometimes its good for the job other times its not.

IMHO most of the CC sheep dog guys place to much importance on one tool, and get overly excited about it. These are the same guys that when you do a real shooting course will cry about having to lay their gun down on the dirt. I have shot next to guys that would place blankets next to them so they could lay down their rifle when doing transitions, and were horrified that I would just lay my Sig rifle on the dirt.

But you live in CT, guns don't do bad things in CT...

I let my glock get dirty, it's a tool an it's made to survive. Resale value will be crap but I'm never selling it

I have had reviews from others where I wouldn't eat without a barf bag.

May not be an idiot but their taste differs. I have eaten food the wife thinks is good but I would not like and vice versa. Who is right?

Probably he doesn't even care. Some policy wonk told him what he has to do and he signs on.

Will you people ever get the word "moot" and not "mute"?

Don't know about you but how do you schedule when you need it and when you don't? Other than breaking a rule of the establishment, I haven't found a situation where I regret being over armed.

Well, If I spend $300 on a used Remington Express, I would think you would be right. OTOH, if I spent big bucks on a custom fitted stock made of some exotic wood, it could be different. What habit do you get into?
