I live in a FEMA camp...

While looking for some information on a federal jail that was once in McAlester, Oklahoma, which was closed around 1906 I ran across this map of FEMA camps that we will all someday be forced to live in.

I found out I already live right on the edge of one! The makers of the map have the location wrong, the facts wrong, the history wrong, but there is a McAlester, Oklahoma, so they did get that part right. And there was a World War 2 prison camp here and, if you know where to look, you can see traces of it. But by and large it is now a housing development. Maybe I can post a few pics of the surviving fences later on.

Anyway.... Do you live in a FEMA camp? Click on the link to find out and remember: When we are all herded into the camps you may, like me, just be able to walk!

I'm sure Obama's Gestapo has me on the very top of their list. Maybe I need to drive by the one near McKinney and see what my new home will look like.

Couldn't hurt, but the way McKinney is growing I doubt that the government could afford to put a camp anywhere near the place.

I sure will be glad when they get US 75 finished through there.

Yes, 75 is a PITA as is parts of 635.

Since Sam Rayburn is open, we don't use 75 very much. We get on 75 at Melissa, get off at Sam Rayburn and make our way into the mid cities. Of course that takes us through some of the worst of the McKinney construction right now, but at least it's not too far to the toll way.

According to that, NAS Fallon is a FEMA camp. I took the Advanced Rider Course at a FEMA camp. The E-club there has great burgers, but their coffee could be better.

Isn't FEMA an agency of DHS?

If you REALLY believe that could actually happen, and you are right, then it will be a self-fulfilling prophecy. And you should not be surprised, right?

Who knows, if the NSA monitors everyone's internet and phone remarks...?

I didn't get the impression anyone with the government had anything to do with this map.

Or did they???????

Notice I did not answer your question. I know the answer, but if I told you.... Well. You know.

(Insert evil laugh of your choice here).

I think they were trying to tell you they just don't care about you, but in a nice sort of way.

One of the benefits of living in a small state is no FEMA camps.

Well, we are generally considered to be a 'first strike' region....

Maybe it's due to the large number of insurance companies here....
Can't have the riff-raff filing claims too close to the ivory towers...

Overruled by higher authorities. HOA determined it would be bad for property values. Insurance, zoning or financing refused to protect institutional investors.
