Yes. Lithotripsy is relatively painless. They give you a mild sedative, but you won't be out. Then you float while the doctor turns you into a video game. If they are successful at pulverizing the stone, the debris will pass without problem and that will be the end of it. In my case, a chunk of stone became stuck in my ureter. The pain was epic. Clearing the blockage required a procedure performed under full anesthesia, where they ran a tool up and snagged the chunk in a sort of basket. Because of the size of my stone (23mm), it took a total of five litho sessions, plus the basket deal to completely clear. As awful as this sounds, you don't want open surgery

As for your biopsy, don't consider the case closed if the result was negative. Biopsying prostate cancer is like spearing a cherry floating in a punchbowl while blindfolded. Don't be surprised if he recommends continued surveillance and another 13 cores in a few months.
