New Mercedes Enthusiast magazine website

Just a note to say that the relatively new magazine, Mercedes Enthusiast, has now launched it's own website. Please feel free to have a look.

http://www.mercedesenthusiast.co.uk/

The site is currently only a basic support to the printed mag, but we do have subscriptions and back issues ordering facilities and we do plan to develop the site much further in the future.

Did anyone try this magazine? It is on the pricy side, over $100.00 canadian per year for 12 issues. Just wondering about the quality, dept of information, number of pages etc.

Alex.

I love the magazine. I have all but 2 issues missing and I intend to buy them soon. I read every article, including the advertisements. The magazine is on the pricey side but I figure I will do my share to keep it in circulation since it is the only magazine about Mercedes.

BTW, the magazine is printed on quality paper so you can read it times over and it will not worn out. I do it on all my trans continental flights. I read my sometime twice from cover to cover.

It only costs me £2.95!

I think it's pretty good. It contains an interesting mix of articles on current and future models, older models (and not just the predictable classics), MB technology, third party accessory and equipment suppliers, running reports &c.

The paper and print quality is very high, better than most other mags. It can be read in the bath without too many worries. Most of the advertising is UK-centred. The design needs a little work. It could probably do with a bit more content.

I recommend it. The (very minor) criticisms I level above are probably a product of the magazine being in its infancy. Certainly, it is a lot better than comparable titles were at such an early stage in their development (eg 911 & Porsche World, BMW Car &c).

It is far superior to the boy-racer type mags about Fords and VWs.
