no more swiss cheese at subway?

tried to order a ham and swiss, told they dont carry swiss anymore, due to "marketing".

happened once before too, figured it was specific to thst store, as the store down the street will still make a ham and swiss. the woman at the first store said it was the owner there thst decided no swiss.

seems weird to me, swiss is such a staple cheese to so many sandwich choices. i put it on all my sandwiches at home and bought.

anyone else been to subway recently and encounter this?

Slobway's excuse for "food" makes me sleepy and nauseated. Their "Swiss cheese" is probably American fake cheese with flavoring. Haven't been to a Slobway in a while, so I don't know about the situation now.

I'd sooner stop at a grocery, buy some sandwich-making materials, and make my own.

Apparently Not A New Situation from 2008

In order to consistently provide satisfaction to our customers by offering high quality food with exceptional service that is a good value, we must continuously review our menu and the ingredients that we use.

Occasionally, we find that some items are not popular, some have declined in overall popularity, some are in short supply or are difficult to work with. In order for us to make room on our menu and in our restaurants for new and exciting foods, we must sometimes choose to not offer or discontinue items from the national menu. Some locations may continue to offer discontinued items as a local item.

And any landlord that rents to them vs to a restaurant that serves actual food should be shaken and slapped. Too many of the damn things popping up in NYC recently, sort of like Charbucks in the 90s. *ulp* *bleh*

I recently had a sub during a business meeting that was pretty tasty. It came from Wal-Mart.

I don't eat a lot, but some folks think food should be served at a business meeting and food is more than coffee and cigars.

They are worth trying if you are looking for something to toss in the old lunch bucket.

If you had the Wal Mart Supreme Super Sub Sandwich, you might not have noticed that a "Serving Size" is 1/4 of the sandwich.

I eat salads at Subway. They chop salads now. Spinach, provolone, tomatoes, onions, bell peppers, cucumbers, parmesian, oregano, pepper. Sometimes I put lemon juice on for dressing. I love bread but it isn't food. Cheese isn't either but it sure tastes good.

Dairy products have natural morphine in them. Babies are literally addicted to mother's milk. I like it too.

I found the quality of their veggies and cheeses to be meh at best. If I want a good salad, I can make my own or go an a local deli that makes actually GOOD gourmet salads at a price that's only slightly higher.

Definitely not about quality. It is convenience without a death sentence. Not a quick death anyway.
