What to Do with a B&N Nook

At zero cost to me, I now have a 8GB B&N Nook HD and the charger. The stock OS is some custom version of Android. It's a decent 7" color screen but as most know, everything other than a Roku box, everything in the house is iOS, so this Android pad would be an oddball device.

Based on some limited research, it appears that it can dual boot from a micro SD card to either the B&N os or KitKat. So, right now I'm thinking about
1) Craiglist/eBay
2) Donate to Charity or use it as a "Grand Prize" for event
3) Keep it as an oddball device
4) ?

Any suggestion for No. 4, other than to send it to you for free?

Try downloading books from B&N site. My wife got one for free from a client and it makes her commute nicer.

Our local library has e-books available in several formats, the Nook being one of them.

Yes, the Nook can also upload/sideload PDF and epub books, and there's even a Kindle app.

I say sell it on Craigs and get yourself a Kindlefire.

Was given a Kindlefire HD, webcam, android etc.. Also own a paperwhite, and both are good. To be honest though, trying to read the kindle in any kind of circumstance other than at night, it isn't that great with the screen brightness. Try reading these new things outside with a little bit of shine? Forget it.
