My condolences to his family, friends, loved ones and others who will miss him. One can only hope that he died doing something he enjoyed. As tragic as an accidental death is, I think it beats deteriorating in a hospital or hospice center.

I hadn't seen Steve since I heard through the school that he had undergone major surgery a few years ago. For what, I don't know. He was a very overweight man. He was known to spend a lot of time travelling to foreign countries vacationing. A strong, married family man. He was a hunter and a guide. Farming, golfing, fishing. He loved Africa. A lifetime member of the NRA, Safari International, a member of a prison ministries in FLA., past Baptist Church deacon, Marketplace Ministries International, as well as sitting on the boards of numerous civic and corporate organizations alike over the years.
