Nice truck!

The end of the year specials are getting good! I like the easy to clean leather and it just needs a Borla exhaust!

I'm debating for my next truck on either shooting the bed with Line X right away or just throwing a rubber mat in the back and saying heck with it.

Noooooo...

2013 was the last year GMC trucks looked good. The new ones look too much like the Terrain, about the ugliest SUV next to a Nissan Juke.

They are all ugly, but the 14's are better vehicles.

the gmc isn't near as ugly as the chevy.buddy of ine bought a new gmc about every 3 yrs.his last new one he decided to go back to a ford eco-boost.well he didn't even get 40,000 miles and it threw a rod out each side of the block.after he threatened to get his lawyer involve ford replaced the engine.the day he got it back he traded it off for a new gmc.says he never should have bought the ford.

Can't load a ton into the trunk of an E class and put it in 4 wheel across some mud, or tow a 10k pound tractor now can you?

The only other real truck Mercedes makes is the G wagon and they go for about $125k.

I drove the F150 and new silverado at the ford Ecoboost challenge. I personally was disappointed by the gms ugly and wierdly laid out dash, poor ergonomics, and the handling was really disappointing. The front end dove into corners and the tires squealed at the slightest inputs. The F150 was flatter in corners and all around a nicer place to be. I have heard about some of the Ecoboost issues and can't comment as I don't know anything first hand. Just driving them back to back on a light autocross course I greatly preferred the ford.

All of that being said, I'm sticking to a 3/4 ton or bigger for towing so I won't buy either.

Stop playing around and get a Ram 2500 Power Wagon in Tradesman trim!

Ram put coils on the new ones and ruined their load carrying capacity, also with emissions no thanks on a new diesel. I don't want a project so I have no interest and doing all the aftermarket stuff which is illegal in my state to make them run decent. Pretty looking truck though, I'd buy a half ton with the V6 if they didn't ruin their cargo capacity with the coil rear end. Similar to the G wagon and you can get Airmatic!

Meh I don't want to spend $60k+ on a truck, I would like to buy a car at some point. I don't have anything that heavy to tow. My boat is kept in the water and is illegal over the road anyway, other than a sled trailer or an ATV trailer that's it. I might hook it up to a skid steer once in awhile but the half ton is rated to 10k.

I mostly want the space and the crew cab is nice since the new regular cabs don't hold jack behind the seats anymore. It would be nice to have a locking cab to store guns, tools, and camping stuff in.

My biggest hang up is downsizing from the 8ft bed to the 6.5! I'm still thinking on that one!

These trucks are so dam bloated now. More and more cab, less and less utility. They cater to the truck buying passenger vehicle market of guys who use the things to buy a gallon of milk and hang fake balls off the bumper, not the guy who needs it for work purposes anymore, and they are about as maneuverable as a battleship.

My advice is to buy a 4x4 cargo van for work since you need 4x4, and a car with 4 doors for personal use. I can carry 4x8 sheets flat no problem inside my express, with feet of extra room, as well as longer lumber
