I really don't find Amex to be that great of a card, also they charge you a lot. They keep sending me offers for their Platnum but at $500 a year for the fee they can shove it.
My Costco Amex is free and I get about $500 a year back from them with the 1%/2%/3% rebates.

I bought my Dad a plane ticket with Discover. It appeared on my bill and I forgot about it. They wouldn't tell me anything other than I have the right to dispute it. How do I dispute what I don't know? With Amex, they do the investigation on another query while we speak and pretty much told me to forget about it and they will check it out and call me back. Years ago, I bought an auto part that wasn't working. Guy refused to take it back. Amex told me to give it up to the guy regardless. I told them he wasn't taking it back. They said they didn't care. All I had to do was put it on his table and they will dispute the charge. At which point, the merchant quickly decided to replace the defective part.

Costco here in TX takes HSA for drugs and vision. I wonder if it varies by state.

They are hard to beat when it comes to consumer protection.

I was talking with a manager at Costco a while back and asked them about the Coke issue. Apparently Coke was under selling Coke to a Costco competitor. Costco went to Coke and said either beat the price or Costco will drop Coke. Coke called Costco's bluff and Coke was pulled from every Costco system wide. As I recall, Costco moved about $1 billion of Coke a year. Coke blinked and Coke is now sold at Costco again.

I have been told by several people that Sinegal and Jelinek do not blink when it comes to negotiations.

I get the feeling Amex did not want to blink and Costco told them to pound sand. Lots of credit card companies out there. I bet anyone of them would be thrilled to be branded with Costco.

I would not put it past vendors (suppliers) of Walmart to cut corners.

As long as Walmart stays the 'King of The Hill' in esp. NW Arkansas, my dividends of cash income monthly stays solid. It's incredible how profitable their industry is.......just incredible.

If you (generic you) can get in on their (WM's) purchasing power income stream anywhere in the Country, it'll change your (financial......) life.

FWIW - the Winters are wonderful as contrasted with Wisconsin, AL!

Read my post. Pause when you get to the 3rd word. Let me know if you need help afterward.

Ratify? This is not a Constitutional amendment.

Yep. Kind of like you and the terrorist at the library. Then there was the tale of you and the racist realtor. And lest we forget the 'motor coach' that, as I recall, turned out to be an old fashioned run of the mill RV. You are not the one to be talking to any one about 'stories' or hearsay.

I never said what I heard was anything other than what it was. You really cannot say the same now can you? Take it or leave it. I could care less. I had no reason to doubt the person who told it to me. And the story jobs with other things I have heard about Costco.

Depends. I don't blame the vendor. It is the QC of the store. Kinda why I look at the item. Say if you bought Hormel hot dogs and the item is the same, I don't believe they are different. OTOH, if Wal*Mart asks them to private label, that is a whole different story as it is with a different part number.

Yours and anyone who buys winning stock.

Yes, same as any industry where you have huge buying power

Winters are nice to me because they are not hot and humid.
