Parktronic

Is parktronic worth it as an option on the larger new Benzes? Is it possible to retrofit a parktronic like system to say an older S class sedan?

Yes, it's possible to retro Parktronic, aka Bosch Parkpilot. Last I heard you had to import the kit direct from Germany as Bosch USA did not have it available to their US distributors.

Question Parktronic?

What, pray tell,is parktronic?Does it automatically squeeze the car into those too-small mall parking spaces Cause if it does I need a kit like that for my Supercab.

It's the system that has the sensors on the front and rear bumpers that are used to give a visual and audible indication to the driver when you're getting too close to something.
Sounds like it would be a major pain to retrofit.

Howdy All,
Now I understand it. It is just like the Unimog audible & visual sensors. You hear the audible crunch and you see the car disappear you know you are parked
