My 190E has bit the dust. It started by missing, then stutering at takeoff, then it just quit running! I've replaced the fuel pump, the fuel filter, the fuel distributor, sparkplugs, rotary cap and button, but it's still dead. I'm considering a new engine, but the compression check on this one (187,420 miles) is from 159# to 174#. Anyone had any suggestions?

coil?
OVP? MAF Sensor? ECU? Ignition Module? Have you checked these items? I would think any one of them could cause the problem. Are you getting fuel and spark? Did you do the fuel pump relay? Alon

You might save more money getting a diagnosis at a reputable independant garage than replacing bits at random!
No need to do the fuel pump relay so long as the pump runs for a second or two when you switch the ignition on. later Russ
