It's true that most manufacturing has moved away from the US to be competitive. Fwiw, Saddleback Leather makes some very nice goodies. I have a couple of their bigger bags with some custom work. They make most in Mexico but a few items in Texas. “The only thing we've changed is the price, since it costs more to make things in the States.”

Also one of my fellow artist buddies makes very nice leather stuff. They are named Ace Leather Goods and iirc they make everything in the USA.

I know these guys and have been in their shop. Made in Arizona from U.S. hides. Not cheap. Superb work.
