Bought a new beater...

Needed a new project after selling my Ducati a few months ago - I was getting the itch to tinker... Picked this sled up from a buddy for a song - it needs a little bit of work to be back at 100%, but nothing too wild... Though after seeing how much aftermarket go fast parts have reduced in price, think I may see if I can get 500HP out of it. Should be fun (and stupid), right?

Will be ~ $3k when the deal is done to get it in my posession. It was wayyy too good of a deal to pass up.

I do eventually need to fix the bodywork (it needs both fenders, a front bumper, and the two passenger doors replaced then paint. I'm debating just swapping all parts to good/straight and leaving them whatever color they are and leaving it as a mix of colors, but paint will come later. I don't expect to be more than like $5k into the car completely fixed.

Damn I thought I did well with my $1000 C320 wagon. You got me beat. Sounds like the work would be relatively minor. How many miles on it? Have you seen the 400k mile E55?
