You'll feel better once the marker is placed.

Let the kids to the heavy lifting. You cannot afford to injure yourself.

A friend of mine wanted a grave marker. He was 35 years old.

I thought he was planning for the future. He kept telling me how the progress was going. It took years.

Finally he was ready for the big reveal. So we went to look at it. And there, in the lobby of a new Boys and Girls Club, was a bronze marker dedicated to the guy who gave $4,000,000 to make it possible.

I asked if that included a burial plot. Because if not he got ripped off.

He is actually planning on a natural burial on his ranch. He said before long the hogs would dig him up and eat him. I told him that only sounded fair since he had been fighting them for years. It was about time for the hogs to win at least once.

I talked to the guy yesterday and bought this up with him. It's been a long time since we talked about death and I just asked him was he still planning on this way of being disposed of.

Yup. He really means it. He is even working with a lawyer to see how to make it legal under Texas law. Really he sees his lawyer a lot, he's got a lot going on. This is just one more topic.

I told him he better find someone he could trust to carry out his last wishes since he will not be there to oversee it. Guess who he is counting on?

Both of us are closer to the end than we like to admit. If I just vanish from here then don't worry. It won't be like something terrible took place, just one thing took place.

Unless I am on the road.

I must be looking worse because my agent is on my back to finish three projects. Maybe he just needs the money.
