Tie rod keeps spinning.
After changing the steering box, I'm running into a problem: the tie rod keeps on spinning when I put on the nut. The nut is now stuck, can't tie or loosen it.
Any solutions? Thanks!

Quote:
There's usually an allen cut-out on the top of the shaft. Use an allen wrench to hold the shaft and a box end wrench to turn the nut. Worst case, use a nut cracker or saw to split the nut. |

Or the ever faithful hot wrench.

I figured it out. It’s not an allen cut out but a torx. Hard to see when you’re working underneath the car with no space. The 300SE should be back on the road shortly.
