Each successive generation grows more irrelevant.

I'm in no way a cheerleader for EVs or hybrids but this certainly piques my interest. The specs look quite nice.

If we are talking about performance, I am not sure what the issue is. We have come a long way from the model T. I wonder if people who grew up with carbs are still pissed off about fuel injection and will not drive a car unless it has a carb?

I just dont get it. Cars are designed in wind tunnels and and on CAD. They are designed to perform at the extreme edge of the envelope. This car happens to have electric motors on it. So what?

I'm not sure it is the electric motor that he feels is irrelevant.....perhaps the whole idea of a car costing so much and not being able to drive it any where near its limits except on the race track.

The outrageous cost applies to all super exotics. I doubt there are many posting here who have the money to buy a new S63 or GTS. As far as not being able to drive the car any where near it's limits. The fastest speed limit is 80 in the US (I think Montana did away with 'as fast as is reasonable) so there are not many cars on the road which can be driven near their limits.

My comment was meant more as a general statement, not against any specific poster.

Lots of people can get financed for a S63 or AMG GTS or even pay in cash. Just because you can does not mean you should.... They are not that expensive by todays prices. I paid as much as that for 3 cars. I agree with that cars are becoming way faster then the roads or even tracks can handle. I have driven on 4 tracks. 1 in Las Vegas, 1 in Florida, 1 in CT and 1 in NY. Each time I had a car that could outperform the track meaning there was no straight away long enough for me to top out the car. Either way the hybrid set up makes sense on a supercar like this. Drive down the road in your neighborhood and not make noise then once on the track open it up.

Chances are the person buying this has a fleet of cars... This will chances are not see 10,000 in 15 years lol. I mean in my F club even people with older less expensive 348, 328's did not have them as a DD. As usual with Ferrari this is just beautiful. Stunning in every way. I still love the F40

Funny I love them but I have never seen one. Seen the F40, F50. A man I know from Ferrari club has a Enzo so I got to ride in that. I love Ferrari's from the 1980's. The old school feeling is why they are shooting up in value.

Never been in any Ferrari. I have see them, peeked in a window... Never sat or driven in one

I did sit in a Countach once. The body shop I used to use was doing a full restore on one. I begged to sit in it. He said to go for it. I got in... I found out I do not fit.....not even close. Another child hood dream crushed like a nut

Drove a F355. Then had to have it. Some of these cars look smaller then they are and some look larger then they are. A Countach has a clutch that is awful. Honestly even if I had the money it would be hard for me to say yes to it. It is a huge effort to drive. I am 6'0 240. I cannot fit in in a Alfa 4C I wanted. Or the Lotus Elise...

I'm 6'3" and 210. The Countach was on my wall beside Farah. The posters were as close as I got to either. The Countach was just one of those dream cars from my generation. Not that I could ever afford one but it was nice to dream about. Now not so much.

Same for the Cobra. A friend of a friend has a Kit Cobra. He has a 427 in it and it goes like stink. He took me for a ride. Took a month for the smile to go away. I do not fit. My eye line was above the header on the wind screen and my knees were locked under the dash. One more dream in the dust bin.
