w124 300CE (keep the badge...remove the badge)?

hey you guys...this is what my car looks like with the badge....

the second pic is the car without the badge (thanks to photoshop)....

tell me your thoughts everyone!!!!

so far HI-POWER is for de-badging....woo hoo...ernesto's got a beautiful 86' 300E (though you'd never ever know it by looking at it...i thought it was a 90's 300) debadged....
woo hooo....

Rich, Take it off, you know it looks better.

I think it looks much more symmetrical without it on there, and cleaner. plus most people don't even know what it is in the first place.

You've seen mine and I know you liked how clean the back looked without it. I say go for it. Worst case scenario, you buy some tape and reapply it.

well two of the coolest people on here have already told me to do it...so it might be coming off tonight...
quick question...

WD40 sprayed...(will it harm the paint?)...
does a hair dryer to warm it all up help?
how long do i let it sit with WD40 on it?

?

A while back someone asked me if I had any pics so I looked and wwhere there were supposed to be sme were blank spots, I had given them to people that asked for them But not to worry!¡ The Mog is in restoration and when it is done there will be plenty

I've read that dental floss is used to take it off.

Mushedroom - this thread may help:

Debadging question

The badge flosses off with fishing line or dental floss, the hair dryer may not even be needed (probably just leave the trunk aimed into the sun for a couple of hours!). WD-40 can be applied to a cotton terry towel to remove the residual glue.

Personally, I say leave it.

OTOH, for the most part, I like to keep things OEM...so that's just my opinion. Good luck!
