The guys with rat problems on farms around here that seem to be impossible to control to extinction are fond of sitting at a table with a beer early evening about 50 feet from the problem areas and pick em off with a .22.

Then the cats are OK with them.

In your area you might need to use that all copper .22 stuff. About the fastest regular commercial .22 available, because of weight. I can't get that stuff to group in any firearm.

It is great sport and you can have a daily contest.
