Can gasoline be used in lieu of hand sanitizer

I'd think the Covid19 virus would be hard pressed to live after a quick splash of unleaded premium. Does anyone know?

It probably will work but the gas on your skin seems a risk.

It'll work better if you use a flame to burn off the gasoline residue!

Why, oh why would anyone even consider using gasoline as an disinfectant? Alcohol, maybe, diluted bleach possibly but Gasoline?

I would think a spritz with brake or carb/TB cleaner would work just as good, if not better.

Cool. I was planning on going to get a couple of bottles of 151 proof grain alcohol later.

Soaking hands regularly in gasoline or other substance seems like a bad idea to me...grain alch would work (I imagine vodka would too?), or rubbing alcohol.

There is a youtube video showing how to make it with grain alcohol. Looked pretty easy. Can't use vodka because it has to be over 70% alcohol.

That makes sense - around here, all of the liquor stores are closed (and they dont sell anything above 40% i think) so get it while you can

All of the liquor stores closed! I bet the ERs have more people with withdrawal symptoms than Covid-19.

I think Pharmco X used to be sold, it's 200 Proof. I don't think they sell it anymore.

Nonessential retail is closed -- makes sense. We have a pretty high concentration of cases in the area, I have been exposed myself and almost done with the 14 day quarantine.

PLCB doesnt stock super high proof liquor, even the everclear is diluted to 80 proof iirc. Idk who would buy that stuff for drinking anyways, but if there is a market the archaic PLCB model will surely not serve it.

Exclamation CAUTION

Brake, carby and other aerosol cleaners are all highly carcinogenic and make a bee line to your liver and kidneys if you get them on your skin .

DO NOT use them to wash your hands ! .
