Media-Driven shortages
There are plenty of threads already but I can't stop myself.
Does anyone really believe the toilet paper shortage is real? It is a product of our own selfishness that was started then fanned by the media. It has happened before and is no more real now than it was then.
If the TV "news" had instead said there was a shortage of toothpaste, there would be plenty of paper but the shelves would be bare of toothpaste.
Shortages of gloves and masks are probably also a product of media-driven selfishness. They are being bought up by those who have never needed them before, still don't and don't know how to properly use them anyway. Unfortunately, this can result in shortages for health care workers who truly need them.
The increase in COVID-19 cases is a product of increased testing and (I would guess) a probable increase in false positives.
What a Great News Period this is!
Are any of us capable of using our own native intelligence anymore?
