Thumbs down Dishonest As Always......

"Police told the station the protective order violation is due to Abushariah having been ordered to not to have a firearm — and as a result, he was jailed with no bond. "

The cops are more interested in being right than in the business owner and his employee's right to have the means to protect the store from thugs.

Anyone with any brains who has followed this realizes this is POLITICAL. The Virginia governor is pro-actively going after anyone who has or uses a gun to protect their business or home.

It is going to get worst before it gets better.

No, he just excluded himself from the conversation. Anyone reading this thread (or any of his threads) knows that HM clearly has no brain.

hopefully no one will ever attempt to rob you at gun point either at your business location or at home. Because if it ever does and you shoot the robber/intruder, you may find yourself cooling your heels at the grey bar hotel.

Good luck.

there now exists several major pre-paid legal plans geared specifically to gun owners. They will pay for a lawyer in the event a homeowner/business owner is arrested while defending their own family, home or business property. Rates are fairly reasonable and they have some impressive stories to tell about springing the homeowners/business owners out of jail.

TLS charges its members $131.40 a year if they have a concealed-carry license, and $89 a year if they don’t. But what members actually get in return — and who they’re getting it from — has aroused plenty of curiosity and skepticism among gun owners.
I am.sure.you are just the type of sucker that these lawyers are looking.for.

Call 800- uasucker now. Operators are standing by.

Maybe, but if you find yourself cooling your heels in the grey bar hotel, trying to find a lawyer who knows what they are doing from the jail's copy of the yellow pages could be difficult. Remember, you only get ONE phone call.

Better make it good.

Oh it is stickier than that.

There is no constitutional right to ma phone call, but most Federal guidelines applied in states recognize that individuals can be held incommunicado for up to 72 hours while the case is being investigated and the identity of the detainee confirmed.

These guidelines -- NOT laws -- were created out of the rulings involving the Sixth Amendment-- the right to a speedy trial.

But bear in mind-- state authorities play with these items so the legal insurance may be a good back up if you don't have a lawyer on retainer and his phone on speed dial.

This is all great information to know because due to the Covid-19 virus, cops are now writing large money citations and/or making arrests for people congregating in too large of a group, i.e. 10 or more people. They send you off to jail where your chances of infection are greatly increased due to:

A. Jail Doctors (you want bad medicine? they know how to deliver....)

B. Sickly inmates just waiting to cough and hack their guts all over you.

It is my belief that this is a great time to STAY HOME AND OFF THE STREETS as much as possible. Run your errands before 10:00 AM then come straight home, do not pass go.
