I'll take that bet, I mean donation just name it. That is as long as you keep to your rule of by "ANY metric". Let me know. Referencing post #14. That is unless you self proclaim to be a welcher on bets.

I'm a firm believer in firearms TRAINING, not just letting anyone play with guns as the nutters do .

I want much stricter liability. Im on favor of you owning what ever you want but if someone uses your weapon in a crime, it's your ass on the line for it as well. Your kids brings your gun for show and tell, it's your ass. I want your gun registered to your name, just like your car or house. You sell your gun, fine, that gun title gets transferred just like a car or a house. Lose your gun, you better have a dam good reason. If you tell me it's at the bottom of a lake and it turns up in a crime later, it's your ass. You lose to many guns, then you are not responsible enough to own a gun and you lose them all.

Nah. I know how you work. You will pick the one day that CA had the shooting and point to that same day in the US and say that the US had fewer shootings and is safer. That is not the intent of the bet. I'll pass. But feel free to post what ever stats you want to use to prove your point.

Glad to hear Barry is O.K. at least .

I see another BMW /5 rider here....

I miss my short wheelbase 1972 R75/5 .

Did your have the big tank? Mine was chrome sided and I hated that. Mine was bronze.

Well ;

By the time I sold them on I had five /5's, they were my all time favorite AirHead Beemer .

My '73 SWB and '73 LWB I got from William Shatner, both had the 'Toaster Tank', I hated it at first but grew to love it as the decades rolled beneath my wheels....

I even had a 1960 R60/5, very early production .

The /5 series wasn't a great Motocycle by any metric bit as we cay in the auto trade "there's an ass for every seat" and I was able to really flu on that beat up old SWB R75/@ Toaster...

An old friend called me Monday and soon began taking about trying to keep up with me up the Angeles Crest Highway when the V.J.L.A. (I'm a founding member) used to have it's group rides . fun times .

Back to firearms : they're tools, nothing more nothing less .

Dangerous tools just like a chain saw but chainsaws don't have the cachet that firearms do, why those with small penis' make such a big do about them and always lie about the facts instead of simply saying " I really dig the power feeling I get from shooting guns !" .

I know this , I used to collect Military surplus weapons, I usually had the loudest boomer at the range, .303 or 30.06, not machine guns because I liked to actually hit the target .

I used 19590's & 1960's car radios as targets, they were decent sized and flew a long ways when hit by my rifles...

If you want to play with guns, expect to be licensed and trained, not just act like a 12 year old .

Amen.

Exactly, you threw out the term "by ANY metrics". Thats why I called it jokingly a donation from you not a wager.

You missed "By pretty much any" part.

What part of "any" are you referring to?

Pretty much any = Most ≠ All.

shame nice area up there.

I read in the paper today he had a pistol and two long guns. One village with 100 people he killed a dozen or so. I've never seen anything like this....driving around a rural area seeking out people to kill.

The potential and plan was there. It just took something to trigger it I suspect.

Perhaps it was this virus thing. I would suspect to see more of this type of thing but not at this level.

Induced unusual stress is my best guess. Nobody will even know what was going on in his head. For those that think life owes them something. Some cannot suck it up apparently. As this was not spontainious.

Most people do not work with children with problems. It gives you some insight of what is possible in the human condition. As a human being this guy was really sad.

t walgamuth 04-26-2020 07:28 AM

Well, sucking it up might not work if you are mentally ill.

Before Reagan we put people who were obviously mentally ill in hospitals, now they live in the street and are bemoaned as bums.

barry12345 04-26-2020 11:50 AM

People can become mentally ill that where not by circumstances alone. I suspect as an example he may have had an unreasonable grudge.

In this current event he had some form of fantasy perhaps. As he was playing with some ideal over perhaps a couple of years. Somehow it got firmed up enough to act on.
