Nova scotia killing spree, 18 dead
Hello, I read about this today and thought of Barry. Barry, did this happen near you? I hope you and your family are all well.
|
And all this time I thought they had strict gun laws! Like always laws can not fix crazy.

Near enough at about forty miles away. We do not have a single virus case in the county but we had a mass murderer. Guy was 51 had two ex police cars and a police uniform. Killed a lady police officer when she rammed his car.
Denturist with some obvious planning around this event in place. Owned at least six properties. Since the police killed him the reasons he did this will always be speculation. He did not have a reputation that really fit this in any way. Very strange for a laid back area like ours to produce someone like this. Total death count will not be know for a few days. He kept killing as he kept moving.. Several places he also set on fire. Death count is about 20 right now. Tom you toured this province many years ago. He basically lived around the economy or five islands area. Pretty rural with not much population in that area. |
Glad to hear you are safe. Nutjobs can be from anywhere.

Quite the picturesque area as well. Look up Five Islands Nova Scotia on the net. Area population about 300 people. Provincial campground we used to go there ourselves many years ago. They show the island with the hole through it on the net. Unfortunatly that arch has collapsed over the ensuing years
As Tom mentioned nut jobs can come from anywhere. This person still had a denturist operation in the Halifax/Dartmouth area. For maximum kills you would have to suspect he would have started the killing there. |
That is a lovely area. When the Mrs. and I first got hitched we took our 72 BMW r60 up that way to see the bay of Funday. Quite a sight to see. We were in St. John I remember. The current from the tides coming in and out are startling. I imagine more than one person has gotten caught by them and drowned before reaching safety.

Saint John New Bruinswick is the oldest incorporated city in Canada. I spent hours last year walking around and looking at the older buildings.
The most impressive thing to me is they have cleaned up the airborne pollution now. Plus since 1972 the road network has been really improved. Also went from the harbor up into the rapids in a fairly large jet boat last year. Twenty two dead as of this posting. They suspect more as well. |
Wow! So sorry to hear it.

Limited gun ownership works in Canada and Australia. Long guns are allowed both places.
Compare their murder rate to ours. Nothing is perfect though. |
Thats why i keep my guns locked away but ready at a mins notice .

Sad News

Wait ;
Out resident expert will soon be telling us what we should do.... I'm a firm believer in firearms TRAINING, not just letting anyone play with guns as the nutters do . |
