So that annoying fault wont go away

If you get fed up with trying to get a dealer to fix a problem with your Merc dont do what these Chinese folk did

As the article said, it was an import. Guess the buyer was had - an import wouldn't be tuned for the market's low quality fuel. heh.. it was probably a stolen + exported car too
