Meh, they had their day and are very old platforms now. Turbos and direct injection have made the old V8s pretty obsolete. We have the 5.7L in our Jeep and I like it...but the new 4xe has better torque and mileage from a DI 4cyl, makes me think that maybe we should have waited and preordered a new one.

Had a Taurus SHO with a 3.5 twin-turbo V6 and never pined for a V8 while driving that car.

The sales on them are really good. Seems odd to ax a car that flys out the showroom door

You just read thr headline, just as intended. I also see youve also never driven or ridden in a modern EV. A Tesla will beat a top of the line Hellcat in the 1/4 mile.

To paraphrase the article you linked yourself, EVs will be alongside ICE vehicles and they are moving to a platform that will accomodate both platforms. Chrysler just spent a lot of development time and money on an inline 6. Terribly hard to read a short article I gather....

Last week, I viewed a YouTube video that showed a policeman in a Tesla-brand police car in a prolonged very high-speed pursuit of a late-model Mustang GT. Not only did the Tesla have no issue keeping up with the Mustang GT, but when intervening traffic on the interstate temporarily opened up the gap between the two vehicles, the Tesla would quickly reel the GT in, once the Tesla broke through that traffic.

If the goal of a muscle car is speed then the electric cars are most definitely muscle cars and they can do it for less money than you have to put into most muscle cars. You can also beat the typical muscle car in far more comfort to boot.
