Started at 60 for me. Prostate enlarged very quickly and now seems to have stabilized. PSA also escalated rapidly and has not changed for 5 years. Suddenly found I could not completely empty my bladder and it would take 10min to pee. Really disturbed my sleep.

The Aquablation surgery is relatively new. Instead of using a laser to reduce the size of the prostrate, a cool water jet is used. I am very pleased. Complete recovery where I was able to pee normally was about 3 weeks. The surgery was performed at Huntington Hospital, Pasadena, by Dr. Dikarian. One night in the hospital.

Okey, now that I know enough to describe it I'll mention it to my G.P. the next time I go in, I'm overdue for a checkup .
