Painting plastic bumper and cladding W126

Post it here to get hopefully more responses. Installing a new front bumper cover and decided to paint the bumpers and cladding DB-040 to match the rest of the car. I like the all black look on the W126 and for whatever reason the bumper was always black, the rest of the cladding is original.

I'm planning to buy the primer and basecoat from paintscratch and will use SprayMax 2K High Gloss clear as a finish. I'm going with a 2K clear because I had bad results with a 1K clear in the past. Is this a good idea or a waste of money, would think the 2K clear would last longer and be more durable?

I could bring it to a body shop but with the writers strike happening money is tight and spend I already a small fortune repairing the body and front suspension after the crash.

Thanks.

Should be fine. Tell the paint supplier what you are painting so they add the flex agent to the paint.
