CDK Global ransomware attack
Curious if anyone here has had to do business with any new car dealerships over the last few days. I've been in touch with several former coworkers and it appears this attack is wreaking havoc on day to day operations. Sales, parts, and service are all being affected.

It took two days at Jackson Automotive (Macon, Ga MB dealer) to charge me for a cabin filter for the GLK. I've been doing business with them since 1999 and have a good relationship with the parts folks there so she let me take it then charged it later.
She was able to look up the part number and she knew where they were kept.

I picked up a car in Dallas that my wife liked. We were supposed to get the title last Friday. But the folks at the dealership said all their systems were down. At that time he thought the problem was in-house.
By Monday they were doing everything by hand. Selling cars was about all they could do because the parts and service areas were too tied to the system. When it comes back they will have a lot of data to enter just to get back to where they were last Friday. |
