Year's ago in Los Angeles, I worked as a ambulance attendant. I thought my work would be mostly emergency patients, but we were mostly a taxi service for elderly patients, from nursing home to hospitals for test. I was shocked when I heard nurses, and doctors referred to patients, as lizards and grunts. Jewish old people as ow ow .
I thought my god why the hate? saw a nurse slap a old lady for peeing in bed . No adult diapers then .
I looked for new work, and started my career in production machinist work.
I never thought, Doctors and Nurses do the same here in the south .
Doctor's here do the same thing, won't listen to patients, talk over them like their children, insult their intelligence, take any of their complaints, as they are drug addicts. They are older because they didn't drink or do drugs.
So now it's better to set your own broken bones, bite a bullet do your own minor surgeries, cause these new generation of Doctor's don't posses the intelligence to lance a boil.
I lived in Mexico, and I'll tell you racist one thing, seniors are looked upon as people with experiences, families there don't haul aging parents to nursing homes. Doctor's there treat them with respect. America who I took an oath to uphold the constitution, has turned into a nation of shame.
Many of us have encountered an arrogant or egotistical healthcare provider. They come across as mightier-than-thou, and seem brusque, superior or conceited, as if we are supposed to feel lucky to be in this person's presence, or fearful enough that we had better not cross him.

When we aren't feeling well, which of course is the reason we are visiting this individual, facing such a big personality may leave us feeling intimidated, angry, frustrated, or a host of other negative emotions, none of which is helpful for improving our health.1

Confidence and self-assurance are good traits for a healthcare provider. We want to know that our healthcare providers are confident about their work and are positive about their abilities to help us.2 But wise patients understand that there is no room for arrogance, narcissism or condescension from egotistical medical professionals. Their lack of respect for our needs and their difficult personalities will inhibit the partnership we need to develop, and we won't get the care we need from them

You have to shop around. When I run into an arrogant doctor I just leave and find someone else.

When a doctor tells you that you need something right now and you feel fine that is a clue you need a second opinion.

And I don't look for someone whot tells me what I want to hear. I look for someone who searches for results, not one that comes on like a new car salesman.

My wife has been in terrible pain for 23 years, since 2018 she's mostly in bed. she begs for me to shoot her, no way. I oiled gun with castoroil, and it's funky real bad.
So awful year with bedpans.
Looking for a doctor urologist from India, they are the only Doctor's who will look for a cure. American Doctors want quick in and out patients to make a fast buck.

So even Doctor's and other high earning professions, fall into this trap. The world grades people on what they wear, vehicle driven, and home they own.
Really as most need dependable transportation, a dwelling to live in, The government should own vehicles, and dwellings.
Really makes no sense to purchase a home, as it is taxed forever, in some areas vehicles too.
So back to Doctor's being trapped in debt like us all, patients are no longer looked upon as a person they want to help. It's more like how many I can see, and collect fee's in a day to pay a creditor. Never mind that older patients in real terrible pain, that I could help, but don't as they will die soon anyways.
Same with most workers that work horrible jobs, from paycheck to paycheck. They work and come home tired, and no strength to battle these local, and government Politicians, that unfairly add more taxes to fatten their hind ends.
They constantly keep people fighting over parties convincing most law abiding citizens to vote for criminal's, and rapist, you wouldn't want in your neighborhood.
Same with these high wage earners, they care only for those who cut their taxes, not the people struggling to pay their shoddy practice. Yes practice, medicine is not a sure thing, procedures change as faster, and easier for doctors. Surgeons use to sew up wounds, now they use painful staples. To make that office visit money.
Medicine in most western countries now a joke. Pharmacies should release the poison cyanide to older people who are the end of their ropes with pain. Cause Doctors and the government, who started the opiate lie, to kill off boomer's. Remember crack in the 1980's killing intercity folks, Government did not care. Only did something when conservative areas have problems with mama's pain medicines.
So what to do? All workers who are running here and there, unite and so no to these political parasites that feed off our sweat and blood. Refuse to purchase anything for a week, no gasoline, don't work, pull your money from banks, no doctor's dentist, hospitals. Take a week off, and these tapeworm's will die.

I see it the same way. You go to a Dr and mention antything that may be hurting and their ears perk up. They thinking about how much money they going to make on this ailment.

My 93 yr old mother was an example. She would go to dr with something hurting and the dr would put in for all these test knowing no matter what was found they were notvgoing to perform surgery on her.

It’s not quite that easy. Your healthcare provider usually dictates what dr sees you. .. unless you want to pay cash for everything.
