AMEN!! Bill, you put that better than I ever could have.

OTOH, I didn't know the difference between Euro roads and U.S. roads; if I were driving on roads like that (Highway 1 comes to mind, but that's about it), I wouldn't want to drink anything while on the road either.

Have you seen the cup holder in the new 500SL? Its attached to the passenger seat.

cupholder improvised

when alone i use the space between the passenger side seat (back and forth) adjuster and the passenger seat as a cupholder. so far no spills!
