Sometimes the cop won't ticket them, even if they run into you! Some years back, while stopped in traffic, I was struck from behind by a moron in a Buick Regal. An Arlington County Va. cop showed up but refused to ticket the moron, claiming it was "minor damage". Speed traps are easier money.
