What happens to Benzo magazine?

I paid for my subscribtion more than three months ago and I have yet to receive a single issue. I e-mail them last week bu t got no reply. Any member here has been getting their issues at all? Or I just got ripped off?

elau,

I searched to see if their website was still up and found the following:

'BENZO is due out for January of '03 (will be available late October of '02) and will arrive as a quarterly publication, increasing publication to bi-monthly in '04.'

It is probably on it's way to you soon. How much was the subscription for four copies a year (in '03)?

Steve

It was something like $19.00. And thanks for the info. I tried to look up their web site but did not see what you gave me. Thanks very much for your help.

No problem.

Details can be found at:

http://www.benzomagazine.com/content/content/news_pr_1.3.02.html

Scroll down to the bottom. I recall that the original idea for Benzo was based on a bi-monthly format. Apparently, that has changed

TYPO...

Actually... it has not changed... I believe that is a typo, the magazine is still bi-monthly, and thank you for bringing it to our attention.

OK, so last week, we got another Benzo at the dealership, the general manager got a few of them and was passing them out to us techs. A couple of the younger guys like it, the older guys don't care for it at all.
Besides the point I guess.
It's dated February 2003. I would think it would have 2 months listed (like"Jan/Feb 2003") if it were bi-monthly. It does state inside, where all the editors and stuff are printed, that it's published bi-monthly (and says "6 times a year" after that, hey, thanks, I wondered what "bi-monthly" meant exactly).
Interestingly, on that same page, there is a article heading stating "Rolling out the car mag V.2". By "V.2" I assumed there would be some type of admission that they had a bad or false start with "Benzo" earlier this year. Nope. I could find no type of explaination for the V.2, and they just explain pretty much the same thing as in the "V.1" Benzo about what the magazine is all about, even referring to this "V.2" copy as the "premier" issue. To me the "premier issue" is the "first" issue, not "V.2".

The issue itself is no great improvement.
I don't have my "V.1" copy anymore, but there is the article about the Guard S500 that I SWEAR was in V.1, same pictures for sure (3 models, a chic chick and 2 poser "body guards" looking like she's probably the wife of a drug lord in Venezuelia or something) (yes I know that's a typo, sorry). There's an article about a 560SEC with a CIS 119 motor in it that one of the guys thought was in V.1 also.
And our favorite "Yo, dig it" wench wrench is back, Donna Carlyle. No credit on the end this time to Donnie or whoever it was that was answering the questions in V.1. Hey, is he still doing the answering or not? Inquiring minds want to know! Same pictures as last time. Yo, Donna! Button up yer shirt, you'll stay a little cleaner that way, and put on some work boots, insurance ain't gonna pay for the workmans comp claim if you drop a rotor on those tennis shoes, dig it?

Gilly
