Exclamation W202 Wheel Upgrade Problem!!!!

First of all, I would like to apologize if this topic has been discussed earlier. I tried to search the archives first and came up with hundreds of possible topics.

I have a 1998 w202. I recently upgraded my wheels to a 5-spoke (came from a 1999 E430). I thought this was a perfect fit for the car. Does anybody know if this is not possible without any modifications?

Since I installed the new wheels, I noticed that when I am backing out, and my wheels are turned all the way to the left or right, I hear a grinding/squeaking sound. I don't hear it moving forward with the wheels turned all the way.

I would like to know if anybody in this forum has experienced the same thing. If you have a w202 and you upgraded your wheels I would like to talk to you about it.

Thanks.
JC
