W124 400e/e420 Owners - A Friendly Group?

Just met a W124 e420 owner (guy named Anthony) in a parking lot in Glendale. He had a really nice ride that was lowered and had 17" rims. He was really friendly, very informed/passionate on the W124. He was much like the Miata owners I used to meet when I had a Miata. Have any of you other W124/M119 owners had the same experience?

I'm a W124 E420 owner, consider myself somewhat knowledgeable and am very friendly - willing talk MB's all-day long with just about anybody (especially a fellow enthusiast).
So yeah, there are more of us out there! :p

Regards,
- Ryan

Snibble, yes I do mean Glendale, CA. I was in the structure next to Circut City near Brand & Broadway.

I think maybe it's because 400e/e420s are sought after by enthusiats. There are more w124s out in my neck of the woods than even Honda Accords! Most are 300 & 260s. Most seem to be driven by people whos main concern is safe, quality transportation (judging by condition of vehicle & mods).

Glad to know some of you other 400e people feel the same!

I just got mine and I'm nuts about it. I keep asking my wife if she needs anything at a store across town so I have more excuses to drive it. I got the E-Class Owner's Bible and I'm going to get the W124 Service CD from an MB dealer soon. It's a great car, even unmodified. Those making modifications probably really know what they are doing and therefore have an even better car tailored to their tastes in sytle and driving.
