Time to hit the road
Ok y'all, I'm off to Arizona for the month. If I can log on from the Sonoran Desert I will, if not I'll see y'all when I get back.

Made it, safe and sound
Well I made it to my destination. Car ran great, it sure does love the open highway. I might have thought about stretching it's legs a bit, but decided it was too close to the New Year weekend, so I just cruised.
Haven't figured out the MPG yet, but it looks to be about 18.5 with the cruise set at 85. Running GPS during the drive shows my speedo to be off by about .5mph. Speedo reading 85 GPS reading 84.5. Close enough for Gov't work. That speed made 400 miles of highway a dream, never even turned on any tunes, just listened to the car purrrr. Fortunately the hotel has Inet access. I have a laptop with me, but it doesn't have a browser...yet. Dang Gov't computers! Once I have a browser on the laptop I'll be able to spend plenty of time here, until then I'll just have to squeeze in bewteen the other guests.

glad to hear you made it OK. About the browser.. if you have Win98 or so.. try opening up a window. In the address area where it usually says C:// something... try typing a web address and see if it will take you to a site. Worth a shot

The laptop is loaded with Win95. I'll give that a try, just to see what happens. Shoot I already have folks wanting to know how long I'll be on
