'88 560SEC, US model, Black on Black, 172K, looks really good to me, overall: sunroof works, power windows too, the interior (leather & carpets) are very nice, paint is nice, body does indicate some repaint was done, perfect W8 style chrome wheels, very decent tires, good oil pressure, drives straight and true, shifts are very sharp &clean, starts right up, idles smoothly... Quiet, no rattles, clunks! or thumps! FAST.
In an independant ( I feel VERY reputable) MB-ONLY shop for A/C work: I believe them when they say it works OK, but they think it is just losing some R-12 from a suspected leak...
Owner (multiple MB & other cars) is asking $7,500.00 ??????????????????????????
I really don't need another car (much less another W126) but...
This is less than what the OPTIONS & the Gas Guzzler Tax & Destination charges are on the CLK500 in the December Road & Track!!!!!!!!!!!!
