Off Fast Food

I have not had any fast food since January 22. This is one of the longest periods I've been off fast food in my entire life! I found I was eating fast food at least 3 times a week. For me fast food is like smoking, once I start eating it again I'm hooked.

Congrats, man! That crap will kill you. I eat it VERY infrequently. I must admit to a weakness for KFC, however.

I wish I could say the same!

Our family has decided to plan ahead better to avoid those last-minute decisions that end up requiring a run to a fast-food joint. So our trips have been less frequent, but alas, sometimes unavoidable.

And Mike, tonight the family plans to snuggle up to a favorite DVD and KFC! It's our favorite pig-out food too!

I'm off fast food too. At least until lunchtime tomorrow.

On the upside I did cut out all Coke and other sodas at home, which was about 2/3 of my total consumption. You gotta do these things one step at a time.

I don't think that stuff counts.... it's GOOD though. I love it when rubios decides to make the fish tacos 99c, but both those places can get expensive (5 bucks for a burrito).

I've been trying to lay off the fast food for almost 2 weeks now. Whenever I find myself needing to eat somewhere quick, I go to Subway. A little pricy, but really good, and fresh. I've never had KFC, maybe I should try it. I think it's harder for students to stay off of fast food with their busy schedules, but I'm trying. I used to eat F/F about 3 times a week. Now it's either Subway, or something at home.

I'm glad I am not alone with needing a KFC fix from time to time. While the meat in my my diet is almost 100% wild game fast food can make me sick, I mean for real puking and general nausea. I think the extra crap just rips me apart.

I preffer taking a venison burger in a cooler and nuking it. Gas stations always have a microwave if I am on the road.

I'm a bachelor, and it's an inevitability that I'm gonna hit a fast food joint. Not enough days off in the week to to all the errands. However, when I'm after chicken, I stop at Chick Fil A and eat there. You can get grilled chicken sandwiches instead of deep fried everything. I do have a particular weakness for their waffle fries. AWESOME catsup delivery devices !!!

Anyone here heard of a Chipotle mexican restaurant? They have the best burritos. They're $5... but the thing is huge. Its like a good 3 pounds!

What a bachelor need's is a George Foreman grill and a variety of Emeril spice's dressings and marinades. I keep all of them in stock in case we are in a hurry to cook. His stuff makes everything taste YUMMY!

fast food

I am very health conscious and I run, weight train, and practice martial arts. I maintain 8-10% bodyfat by carefully watching my ratio of protein, carbs, and fats. One thing I do is for one meal, once a week, I eat anything I want. This could be anything from Taco Bell to McDonalds.
Those who eat fast food often should be very aware of the calories. For example, a tiny McDonalds hamburger (not cheeseburger) has 280 calories and 10 grams of fat. I've been known to put back 4 or 5 of these along with a biggie fry. Thats 3/4 of my daily calories and all of my fats in one meal. Now you see why I limit it to once a week. I also bring my own low fat cheese slices to put on the hamburgers. A Taco Bell bean burrito has 300 calories and 12 grams of fat.
