Hitch02, was that you in Mercedes Enthusiast?

Hitch02,
If it was you who wrote that article about the 300CE in Mercedes Enthusiast, I just wanted to let you know that I enjoyed that a lot. You picked a nice car, and you picked a nice restaurant (if you went to Tavern on the Green). Well, the scenery is nice, can't say the food is on par. Your article was really informative, nicely written, and you picked one of my favorite (or 'favourite' as the Canadians might say) cars. Congrats on getting published!

Alex

Actually, it was Reed's third article (that I know of). He wrote a profile of Alex Dearborn in the January issue, I believe.

Alon,
I'd scan it if I actually bought the magazine. I'm dying for an actual subscription, but no money! And, the $7 cover price is a dinner to me. I have to pass.

Try $8.25 at Borders here in the DC area! Maybe I'll get a subscription from my family for my birthday!

I sprung the $8.95 cover at my local Barnes & Noble today. Nice article on the CE, very well written. While reading the sidebar on the PPI, I was able to recall when his inlaws diesel had the engine replaced, it was discussed on these boards.

I finally convinced myself to subscribe. Now, after doing so, I'm really wondering about that subscription price of 49 Pounds . I'm really hoping they used the punds sign in place of the dollar sign. $49.00 is one thing $100+ for a years worth of magazines is quite another. Oh well, I reckon I'll find out for sure when the Visa bill comes in.

Mike, I subscribed. It is 49 pounds, not $$. I guess its worth it. That being said, they've been very timely on delivery, and when I asked them to start my sub. with the Feb. issue because I already bought the Jan. on the newsstand, they said they'd give me 12 months starting with Feb. even though they'd sent me Jan.,which was decent of them.

Pounds, oh well, on the bright side I can guesstimate double air miles on that purchase . Got email from them today with my order info, even though I selected starting next month, it defaulted to starting in March. I see if they reply in the same fashion.

Thanks for the info.
