Owner of modified automobiles protest search at airport

Drifters news agency, 3/32 2003.

Owners of modified cars are protesting what they call vehicle profiling at the local airports. As per the recommendations of the federal government when the terror alert is raised to high, security around ports of entry should be increased. Police and the national guard have been asked to stop and search all suspicious looking vehicles. These include vehicles which are parked in odd places or vehicles which seem to ride low to the ground, an indication that the vehicle may be carrying explosives.

"We go by the book," said officer Lance Murdock. "We can't help it if they draw suspicion to themselves."

Mugen Rice, a local car enthusiast had this to say about the police. "They're profiling us as if we're terrorists, all we want to do is have a good time. We can't help it if our cars are built low to the ground."

The city council has since set up talks to reconcile differences between the authorities and this select group of auto enthusiasts, but things aren't going too smooth. As talks were going on, police arrested a man driving around in a suspicious car.

"We weren't sure if that was a spyplane given the size of that wing. Besides, the suspect was sitting very low in his seat, perhaps trying to avoid detection," said the arresting officer.

My comment about that situation:

"If you choose to buy, build, and ride around in an attention-getting car, then don't complain about the attention it gets you."

Mike! Did you read that it came on March 32nd from the Drifters news agency, and did you read the comment by a certain Mugen Rice?

I don't normally choose to comment on my own writing beforehand. I thought it to be a rather twisted stabbing satire on the lowered car craze that's sweeping our nation.

Hahaha....Very funny! LOL!

No, I didn't read the fake date...I just skimmed thru it and it looked like more whining (not from you, just "in general") about profiling, so I made a quick comment.

Even though it's fictitious, I wouldn't be surprised if someone, somewhere, has made such a complaint!

Hah, actually it's all too easy to believe isn't it? I bet you weren't the only one Mike.

hehe kuan. that was good. I totally missed the whole date thing, but I thought the mugen rice was just another name. My dad deals with immigrants all the time, and I have helped out, and there are some people with really funky names, so I just dismissed the name altogether.
