Hood emblem replacement for 1986 300SDL

I managed to break the hood emblem and recently bought a replacement thru Fast Lane. I received the part and prepared to install it on the hood. After looking at the part, it appears as if a special tool is required and there are no installation instructions. How do I change the emblem?
