I managed to break the hood emblem and recently bought a replacement thru Fast Lane. I received the part and prepared to install it on the hood. After looking at the part, it appears as if a special tool is required and there are no installation instructions. How do I change the emblem?

The star or the crest? If it's the star, there's a circlip type of thing that holds the star in place from below. Working on the back side of the grille, use a screwdriver or needle nose pliers to release the old clip. If it's the crest, I don't know how it's replaced.
