Bought Honda CRV EX and love it !

We sold my wifes '79 450 SLC because she wanted something brand new . Sold it on ebay for the price we wanted and I would reccomend it to anyone , but you have to be careful about the wording you use , reserve or no reserve , and the payment . We did our research on manufactures and reliability , options , and cost . We bought a Honda CRV EX 4-wheel drive and absolutely love it . It's loaded with everything . 2.4 liter V-Tech engine , 4 speed automatic , electric moon roof , electric door locks and windows , keyless entry , tinted , alloy wheels , anti-ding trim package , 6 CD player and an endless number of small convienence features that Honda is known for . It's really fun to drive ! I still prefer my '89 420 SEL though . My wife thought it was to big for her .

We've had our CRV for a year now and my wife still loves it, we piled nearly 41K miles in that time.

Not a problem yet and so far I've only rotated tires, changed oil, changed air and cabin filters. BTW the air filter is a cone and expensive! Believe it or not Honda parts cost as much if not more than MB parts.

The wifes CRV (1997) has 135k+ miles on it and the check engine light has never come on. I wonder sometimes if it even works? It is still on the original rear brake pads and I have just replaced the front pads/rotors. Timing belt was changed at around 110k miles. Other than oil and filters this is all this ride has ever needed. It is on it's second set of tires. It is a good/reliable ride.

CRV 2002

Wife has one also. Nice and hopefully more reliable than a MB. Remember MB quality is as good as a CHEV!.

I was sorry to see this car go and that's no lie . Next year the car turned 25 years old , but it was already a classic and rare . I spent so much money on that car though that I just could not justify it . Remember I still have my '89 420 SEL and love it more than life itself (not really but almost) and any old car is a black hole for money . I will be looking at a used 500 SL one of these days and maybe get rid of the 420 , for now though I'm plenty happy . My 420 is ''show room'' condition and turns heads every place .
