Question Anyone in, near or from Alpharetta, GA?

My company just announced it is relocating to Alpharetta. My wife and I have lived on Long Island, NY all our lives. We have looked at homes on the internet and spoken with a few real estate agents as well. If anyone is familiar with the area I'd love to get some first-hand information. We have 3 children, 10, 6 and 2 so schools are our first concern. After reviewing the State rankings, we are interested in homes that go to Crabapple Crossing Elementary, Northwestern Middle School and Milton High School. This way the schools would be good and my commute to work short. For a longer commute we're also interested in South Forsyth County. As I said, this is only from looking at the internet so I'd love some first-hand opinions. Please feel free to contact me at my e-mail address of REBrooks@iwon.com

Thanks,

Ron Brooks

Let me be the first to say Welcome to Georgia!

I live in Norcross, GA which is not far from Alpharetta and would be happy to offer some local insight. The areas you mentioned are all OK. Feel free to email me with any questions you have.

I live in Woodstock, GA

I live in Woodstock, GA....and Alpharetta is the next town east of us, about 7 miles, it is a really nice place to live, most of the Braves Baseball players live there because the town is pretty new, it has everything you need all the big shopping centers and great schools. Very low crime, you can be in Atlanta in 20 min from there..a really nice place to live. We usually go out to eat there. Email me if you need anything..and hey you will be close to MB Autowerks. Welcome to the sunny south, we have alot of yanks here..
