W126 Front End Growns While Turn'g Wheel

My 1989 300SE has developed a grown which occurs only when turning the steering wheel in either direction. Should I assume this is the Rack and Pinion? If so, I remember I had to replace this on an 85 Audi 5000S I owned and it wasn't a cheap repair!

PLEASE HELP!
