C240 non bose system specifications

My parents just bought a C240 but didnt choose the Bose package cause they said the regular one sounded just fine and I think it does.

Can anyone give me any details and pros and cons of the non-bose system and the bose system for the C?

Is their any big difference?

What are the components of each system? i.e......amount of speakers and amps and who manufactures the non bose system?

Much appreciated

My understanding is that the non-Bose system is designed and manufactured by... Bose! The so-called Bose system is a fuller package with higher quality components, though. The head units are made by Becker (excellent stuff).

The Audio 10 head unit is really a Becker Mexico in disguise. If they still do an Audio 30 APS it is really a Becker Mexico Traffic Pro. The non-Bose system has 7 speakers in the C-Class. I'm sure it is very good. The non-Bose system in my father's W211 E320 CDI is first rate. And the non-Bose system in my E129 SL500 is excellent. All of these are, of course, designed and produced by Bose!

The head unit might be Alpine, but I'm fairly sure it is Becker.

I can't remember where I read that Bose makes MB's stock systems, but I clearly recall it. Obviously the stock system is not as good as the so-called "Bose sound package", but I'm sure it is still designed and manufactured by Mr Bose. I've always found the stock systems in recent MBs to be very good; the six speaker system with Audio 30 head unit in my R129 is excellent and as I've said the stock system in my pa's new E is very good indeed.
